I’ve been working for Angie and Mel for a while now and I’m beginning to learn a few things every day. We’re working on the Rosenblum roof and, although it’s a little elementary, Mel taught me never to walk backwards on a roof and to always face the edge. Mel is a little crazy so as a demonstration he starts to walk backwards to the edge, making me tell him how much closer he got with every step. On the roof, I didn’t have to be as clean as I do if I were sweeping a drive way. I learned that I should sweep in a general location and eventually everything will get black bagged sooner or later. Today we did the tear off work. Tomorrow, Mel says that the replacement roofing material will be driven over and we’ll start working on melting down the top.
