I was asked to show up at 6 in the morning today and I didn’t get off until 8 pm. Mel and Angie left to work on another house while Michael, Paul, and I burnt on the new roof. Michael and Paul were up on the second roof with the torch while I was down on the first roof cutting out the pieces that they needed. All day I carried 80lbs rolls of roof from the edge of the first roof to the base of the second. They would yell down the specs they needed on the pieces and I would cut open the rolls and measure out everything I needed to cut. For the most part I was sitting out in the sun for hours on end with a box cutter and a tap measurer. It wasn’t too bad of a day, for lunch I went to the donut shop and got one of their burgers. Again, when I wasn’t cutting pieces of roof out I was sweeping or making sure that everything was organized.
